Happy New Year!
It’s time for my favorite tarot reading, the Year Ahead Spread. Grab your journal, grab your tarot cards, and let’s do this. 🤓
I outline the step-by-step for the reading here, where you’ll also find a worksheet that allows you to organize your results into a quick reference for the year.
You don’t need to know how to read tarot to use this spread, I promise!
In the above post, I show you exactly how to access personalized insights with a simple and effective method. Bonus: If you’re learning to read tarot, this process will supercharge your skills.
But before you hop over to the how-to, I want to give you one more tip.
If you’re short on time:
Lay out the entire spread, but instead of going through all of the cards now, capture the spread in your journal. I like to draw a grid of boxes and label each one with the card name/number, and I use a downward-pointing arrow to indicate reversed cards. Put a sticky tab or other marker on the page, so it’s easy to find later.
You can also take a picture, of course, but there’s something a little more magical about recording this in your journal, as opposed to scrolling through your photos throughout the year, IMO.
Interpret your January card as outlined, but instead of working through all the rest of the cards now, at the start of each month you’ll reference your journal, pull the relevant card from your deck, and work through the interpretation steps in the moment.
If you include the overall theme card, you might choose to interpret that now, along with your January card.
That’s it! đź”®
This tarot spread is a great tool for highlighting opportunities and challenges so you can go into each and every month with a helpful heads up.
