For today’s New Moon in Capricorn…
…it feels super duper relevant to share something I’ve been obsessing over recently: human design manifestor types.
If you’re like, “Human design, say what, now?”
Don’t worry. You don’t need to be an expert (I’m certainly not) to access highly useful info, so let’s dive in.
First off, you’ll need your human design chart.
Here’s a place to get it for free.
Now, look for the four arrows clustered around the head of your bodygraph, and check out the arrow on the bottom right:
Is it pointing to the left or the right?
If your arrow is pointing to the left, you’re what’s known as a specific manifestor.
If the arrow’s pointing the right, you’re a non-specific or general manifestor (like me).
Knowing which style of manifestor you are can have a massive impact on how you call things into your life, and as a witch, I’ve been musing on how this will affect the way I cast spells, which traditionally involve being pretty darn specific.
The difference between these two styles is summed up in their names.
If you’re a specific manifestor, you work best by getting into the nitty-gritty of what you’re calling in.
For instance, a new job:
- With $100k salary
- At Such-and-Such Design Firm
- That lets me work from home
- That has Full benefits
- With a regular 9-5 weekday schedule and weekends off
If you’re a non-specific manifestor, on the other hand, you’ll be more successful if you focus on the why or the “vibe” behind what you want, rather than getting caught up in the details.
For instance, a new job with:
- At least $100k salary
- An inspiring environment where it’s easy to get into a productive flow state
- Supportive co-workers that bring out the best in each other
- The ability to focus entirely on work within my zone of genius
The New Moon in Capricorn, especially at the start of a fresh year, is such a fun time to think about what we’d like to call in, and tailoring your process to your manifesting style, in my experience, makes things LOADS easier.
As a non-specific manifestor…
…if I try to follow the conventional advice of mapping out every single detail of what I want, I quickly feel overwhelmed and frustrated, and it’s easy to revert to chronic procrastination mode just to avoid it all.
For ages, I thought this was simply a lack of willpower or follow through, even though I can point to many things in my life that I’ve successfully finished.
But if I try to nail things down before they’re ready to take shape, I screw my energy like no tomorrow and feel like I can’t do anything right. Super fun, huh?
But if I focus on how I want to feel and present the universe with fun options as to how that might look…
…I stay in the flow, ideas come to me when the time is right, and the resources I need to carry them out are easily accessible. Way better than feeling like a chronic failure!
My specific manifestor friends, though, can feel aimless and cranky if they don’t take the time to get specific. One friend described it as “constantly spinning my wheels with nothing to show for it.”
So if you’re specific, take care of your energy by carving out time to brainstorm and journal on what you want, really homing in on the finer details.
Check out your manifestation type (again, you can get a free chart here), and let this inspire your New Moon intention setting.
Happy New Moon!
